"For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, 6 knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin." Romans 6:5-6
This verse reminds me of several verses that I read a while back, particularly one that says "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17.
Accepting Christ is becoming new. In the New Testament, it is written, "Christ makes all things good" not, "Christ makes all good things" This means that what was once bad, Christ has made good. He has brought healing to the broken.
V1
I was broken, and I was left for dead
I had no where to run, nothing ahead
I closed my eyes, hoping for something....to cling to
Someone to reach out for me, calling out my name
C
So come down, rescue me,
break the chains, set me free
Open my eyes, that I may see
your saving grace and mercy
V2
Give me life, that you may free my soul
The old things are gone, and the broken made whole
I am lost, blind by the light
I can't find you, no matter how I try
Tag
Break the habit, stop the addiction
Without you there is no resurrection
